Though elastic band is very common use now. It is hard to find automatic solutions for sewing elastic with an Industrial Sewing Machine.

How This Machine Works?

Elastic waists material at the top front of the pant, factories will demand massive production of this ready to made material for sewing the real pant top.

To sew an elastic waistband (or any pant waistband really), factories need to cut the waistband according to the size of their garment waist. Such as cut the waistband to 12 inches wide and 28 inches long.  This will be done by automatic cutting equipment before sewing.  Then full piece will be sewn as a circle together. The process can be done by hand ,either by a machine operator inside a garment factory, or by a commercial tailor, but nowaday it is more often done by machine for big quantity production.

One way is to attach the elastic to the edge (with a interlock or over-lock machine), and the other way is seaming a casing and threading it through(we have double needle IH-8722DP for such application).

1. Set the elastic band on the feeding bracket (a motor specially designed for balance elastic material stretching),

2. Feed to automatic cutting machine for cutting into pieces in certain length set by operator;

3. Grab and sew the material with our Bar Tacking Sewing Machine specially for this project;

4. Turn table collecting certain amount of elastic band

1. Automatic anti folding function

Prevention of elastic band folding, in case it’s not doing the bar tacking. Protection of the presser foot, saving material when less error happened.

2. Automatic adjustment 

Regular this automatic sewing machine industrial will take 20-30 minutes to adjust the the elastic band measure for starting to work. We applied automatic identification, measurement and adjustment function for plug and play operation.

3. Automatic alignment

The system is supporting quantitative production,operator can simply set how many pieces per bundle on screen touch system, then the rotating collection board will turn when counting number is up.
